Quintuplet lambs mark busy spring at Circle R Ranch

Spring may be slow to arrive, but lambing season is in full swing at Circle R Ranch, where the Rast family welcomed an extraordinary set of quintuplets. While one lamb did not survive at birth, five are thriving. Three remain with their mother, while the two smallest were brought inside overnight to stay warm in a hot box. Adding to the scene, a rescued feral cat has taken on an unexpected role, often curling up with the lambs — and even napping atop a ewe — for a shared bit of warmth in the barnyard.
