These are busy times for staff and students, but Friday was a time to kick back and relax and have some fun!

Denzil’s Community Days were held over the June 18 & 19 weekend. A couple of the main attractions were the tractor pulls and the kids carnival.

The Town of Eston and the Rural Municipality of Snipe Lake held their Summer Kickoff event on the weekend of June 10-12 at the Eston Fairgrounds.

Synergy Credit Union held their Customer Appreciation Day on Tuesday, June 14th. Employees from various branches assisted in serving customers a tasty bagged lunch, along with an appreciation gift.

The village of Brock was buzzing on Saturday, June 4th as members of the community held garage sales. The Vesper Club opened up the hall and there were homemade cinnamon buns…

Quite by accident, I was driving along some backroads between Brock and Eston and I found a commemorative sign where the Lovedale S.D. 838 once stood.

These were two of the youngest shoppers to make their rounds at Eatonia’s Community Garage Sale, which was held on Saturday, May 28.

Eston Composite School’s grade one class took to the kitchens on May 26th, preparing for their special Muffin Morning. Students worked together to make muffins and juice.

The evening’s performances were dedicated to Mr. Steve Mealey, who had such a lasting impact at Eaton School and throughout the community.

The Town of Eston’s perennial beds are all cleaned up. The Communities in Bloom committee have been busy prepping the planters and barrels and filling the water reservoirs.

Grade 3/4s planting sprouted bean seeds for experiments and Gr 5/6s at work seeding vegetables in the Spartan Outdoor Space (S.O.S.) outdoor classroom last week!

The Kindersley Stallions won their home opener last week 10-0 over the Unity Junior Cardinals.

Hamilton Fullerton competes in the long jump at Westberry School’s Play Day last week.

A few local businesses have come together to create a drone video of the town, to show a bit of what we have to offer, and while doing that, raise funds for our local fire department.
