This is an old photo I found of my parents Albert Schwengler and Mary (Schneider). I’m guessing it was taken during the summer of 1946 because my dad is still sporting a WWII haircut. Albert and Mary were married in the fall of 1947 and farmed near Liebenthal. The image caused me to ask a few questions. For instance, did bikers back in the day wear a suit and tie? And I’ve never been able to identify what kind of bike is in the photo. Maybe someone can help me out.
