Community Drug Information Night

Choose Life Ministry will be hosting an informational evening at the Center in Swift Current on November 23, 2022. Throughout the evening, attendees will discover the do’s and don’ts for parents of addicted children, hear inspiring stories and learn more about life at Choose Life Ministry.

“We are looking forward to coming to Swift Current to address the current drug and mental health problems the city is facing”, said Executive Director, Shelley Boyes. “Often times, parents have nowhere to turn and feel they have no one safe to go to. We want to provide a space that is safe for people to come and ask questions and find support. The people sharing at the event have first-hand life-experience in a drug crisis and will offer support, connection, and hope. We want to help people find their way in an often difficult, hopeless, and unpredictable situation”.

If you are concerned about the illegal drug trade in our community and schools or have a child that is struggling, this session is for you!

Nathan Wiebe, Executive Director of the Centre stated, “Illegal drugs continue to negatively impact our youth, young adults, and adults in our city. Our nation is facing an opioid overdose crisis that continues to have devastating impacts on our community. People don’t know where to turn and we want to give them an outlet. If you are looking for information or simply need some support, we encourage you to come on November 23”.

Doors open at 6:30pm, event begins at 7pm and will promptly conclude at 9pm. There will be coffee, snacks, and door prizes. Everyone welcome!
