Happy retirement, Janice!

MARENGO - Westcliffe Composite School bid a sad farewell to Janice Bond, who retired from her post as EA/DLC coordinator for the past 23 years. Janice helped countless students find success in their studies over the years. Beyond the classroom, she always stepped up and helped in any way she could, from running the breakfast club and canteen, to helping with band throughout the years, as well as contributing many hours of extra noon hour supervision. The little kids will miss that extra push on the swing and the big kids will miss the chats and encouragement she offered.

Janice Bond retired from her position as EA/DLC Coordinator for the past 23 years at Westcliffe Composite School in Marengo.

Janice has gone above and beyond in her role as DLC Coordinator, whether it was helping a child keep pace with their course timelines or taking the time to learn the material herself so she could tutor her students. She will be missed by both past and current students and staff who had the pleasure of working with her.

Many parents congratulated Janice on her retirement, but more importantly expressed how much she will be missed. “It’s really hard to put into words the impact you have made at Westcliffe throughout your career. You always looked for creative ways to help kids, cheering on their successes and were right there when they needed extra support,” one parent posted. It was a sentiment echoed by many who wish her all the best on her retirement.
