Kids are busy building at Lego Club

By Joan Janzen

Every Tuesday afternoon, young builders are invited to join the Lego Club at the Kindersley Library. Librarian Michelle Yates oversees the club’s activity and looks forward to inviting new participants.

Children ages 8 to 14 are welcome to come to the club from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m. Michelle said the activity varies from free-style building, to suggested projects.

At a recent gathering, Michelle challenged the kids to make a car which was launched off a ramp to see which one would go the furthest distance. “There were some impressive vehicles and multiple tries from some of the kids who wanted to have top spot,” she said.

Whether they’re building cars or towers, one thing is certain - the kids are having a lot of fun!
