Mady teaches toddlers about agriculture
By Joan Janzen
KINDERSLEY - Kindersley Early Years Family Resource Centre invited a special guest on Friday morning, January 31st. Mady Adamson from Learning About Ag With Mady, was at the centre, accompanied by Pat Aylward from the West Central Literacy Committee.
Families were invited to join Mady for a Family Literacy Day event. The children were in for a treat! Mady was equipped with everything needed to teach the little ones about agriculture.
After starting the presentation with a book entitled ‘A Harvest Story’, there were puzzles, colouring pages and a farm display to keep the youngsters engaged. Mady and Pat also brought a grinder so they could show the kids how to grind wheat and make flour.
In spite of frigid wind and blowing snow, a few brave parents brought their kids out to enjoy spending time with Mady.
