Presentation of service to former firefighter Lenard Ward

On Friday, October 18, the Town of Eston and the R.M. of Snipe Lake marked the first “This Is Us,” a celebration of the local community and a welcome event for newcomers. A highlight of the evening was the presentation of a service medal to former firefighter Lenard Ward, who retired earlier this year after serving on the Eston and District Fire Department for almost 48 years. Making the presentation was Eston mayor Glen Goheen (left),  R.M. Reeve Bill Owens (right), and firefighter Jordan Hutchinson.
