Prosperity Credit Union is born

Prosperity Credit Union will be the name of the new credit union created through the merger of Cypress Credit Union, Diamond North Credit Union, and Prairie Centre Credit Union and will come into effect on January 1, 2025.

“Prosperity Credit Union embodies the essence of our new credit union and our longstanding commitment to our members and Saskatchewan,” says Greg Hannay, the Board Chair of Prairie Centre Credit Union. “The name, Prosperity Credit Union, is about our commitment to the financial well-being and prosperity of our members and communities.”

Prosperity Credit Union will be a financial institution rooted in the cooperative principles all credit unions share.

“We believe a strong community is the best investment we can make,” says Greg Pagan, the Board Chair of Diamond North Credit Union. “This credit union will strengthen relationships with our members communities.”

Along with the name is a logo for Prosperity Credit Union that is inspired by nature and the land, and the success of our members, employees and communities. The new credit union will start on January 1, 2025, and the name and logo will be applied to the credit union’s online platforms, branch signage, and more throughout 2025.

“It is an exciting time for our members and employees as our merger comes to life with this identity and name,” says Kelly Bakanec, the Board Chair of Cypress Credit Union. “Working together with our members and communities, Prosperity Credit Union will drive rural prosperity in Saskatchewan.
