Science party at the library!
The Kindersley Library held a science party on Friday, April 12th for kids five years and older. The Wheatland program coordinator from head office in Saskatoon was on hand to conduct three hands-on science experiments. Using water and a few basic ingredients, the young scientists were ready to do science! They were given a PH scale chart and tested the acidic and alkaline levels of orange juice, vinegar and water. They also got to see what happens to Skittles when you put them in water, and also got to eat them afterwards. In the final demonstration, the the program coordinator showed the children how to make slime. Each participant selected their favourite colour of slime, which they were able to take home.
