Shooting incident in Langham
UPDATE: A male was located by RCMP police officers deceased inside a residence in Langham around 11:40 a.m. The residence was on fire earlier in the day. It’s believed the deceased person is Justin Heimbecker, but this cannot be confirmed at this time. Police believe there is no further risk to public safety. Shelter in place was cancelled around noon on July 8.
RCMP Major Crimes is in the early stages of this investigation and we cannot provide further details at this time.
BACKGROUND: One person is confirmed deceased after RCMP responded to a report of a shooting incident in Langham, SK, early this morning (July 8). Suspect has been identified as Justin Heimbecker. He is described as 6 foot 3 inches tall with brown eyes. He was last seen on foot and is believed to be armed. It is unknown where Justin Heimbecker is at this time or whether he has access to a vehicle. RCMP are responding. More information to come.
