Stolen purse results in Theft Over $5000 charge

On July 29th, 2022 Kindersley RCMP responded to a local business after a woman’s purse was stolen while she was shopping. Members reviewed the video surveillance and identified a person of interest. RCMP have arrested and charged a 37-year-old male with Theft Over $5,000. The purse has not been located, and is described as black with two handles and a key holder attached to the outside. Also, between July 26th and August 1st, 2022, Kindersley RCMP responded to 43 additional calls for service* including, but not limited to, 3 assault investigations, as well as an uttering threats and a criminal harassment investigation, two vehicle thefts, and 7 complaints of suspicious people or vehicles.
