Three charged, weapons and 359 grams of cocaine seized after search warrant executed in North Battleford

On June 9, 2022 Battleford RCMP’s Gang Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in the 1000 block of 113 Street in North Battleford in relation to an ongoing investigation. Officers located and seized two illegally-modified firearms – including a semi-automatic model, a loaded handgun, hundreds of rounds of ammunition, a conducted energy device, body armour, 359 grams of cocaine, trafficking paraphernalia and a quantity of cash. Three individuals were arrested at the residence.

Eastin Louis, 26, of North Battleford and Trevor Auger, 18, of Edmonton are each charged with:

  • 1 count, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

  • 1 count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code

  • 3 counts, unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon or restricted weapon, Section 91(3), Criminal Code

  • 4 count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code

  • 4 counts, possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon knowing possession is unauthorized, Section 92(3)(a), Criminal Code

  • 1 count, possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without license/registration, Section 95(2), Criminal Code

  • 4 counts, possess weapon contrary to order and fail to surrender authorization, Section 117.01(3), Criminal Code

Jarod Dumais, 23, of Edmonton is charged with:

  • 1 count, possession for the purpose of trafficking, Section 5(2), Controlled Drugs and Substances Act

  • 1 count, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, Section 354(1)(a), Criminal Code

  • 3 counts, unauthorized possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon or restricted weapon, Section 91(3), Criminal Code

  • 4 count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, Section 88(2), Criminal Code

  • 2 count, possession of a firearm/prohibited weapon with ammunition without license/registration, Section 95(2), Criminal Code

They will appear in North Battleford Provincial Court on June 13, 2022. Information #90464220, 90464221 and 90464222.

“This search warrant has removed more than a third of a kilogram of cocaine plus illegal firearms and weapons from our streets,” says Sgt. Adam Buckingham of the Battleford Municipal General Investigation Section. “I hope this sends a message: we will not tolerate the presence of dangerous weapons and drugs in our community. Battleford RCMP, Gang Task Force and Municipal General Investigation Section officers will continue to proactively and relentlessly investigate those who disregard our community’s safety.”
