Unity RCMP: 7-day roadside suspension

UNITY REPORT

  • RCMP received a report of a lost wallet. The wallet has not been located.

  • An individual turned in a firearm for disposal as part of the Firearm Amnesty Program.

  • Members are investigating a complaint of fraud.

  • Police received a complaint of a break and enter at a business but it was unfounded.

  • RCMP received a complaint of disturbing the peace but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • Members issued a 7-day roadside suspension after receiving a traffic complaint. The vehicle driver was also issued a traffic ticket.

  • Police receive a complaint of an individual damaging residential property. Members attended and spoke to the subjects of complaint. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • CN Police reported three railway crossing malfunctions near Senlac in the past two weeks.  All occurrences were reported for information purposes.

  • Members attended the sudden death of a 48-year-old Unity male. The death was not suspicious in nature.

  • RCMP received a complaint of trespassing. Members spoke to the subject of complaint and issued a verbal warning.

  • Members spoke to an individual regarding a peace bond.

  • Police received a complaint of fraud but there was insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • There were also four traffic complaints and three false alarms.

WILKIE REPORT

  • RCMP received a report of a vehicle collision with a deer near Wilkie. There were no injuries.  Reported for insurance purposes.

  • A 39-year-old male from Wilkie was charged with Assault after Members received a complaint of assault.

  • Police received a complaint of robbery with a firearm in Landis. This matter is still under investigation.

  • A 23-year-old male from Wilkie was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle, Careless Use of a Firearm and Mischief after Members received a report of a vehicle collision with a building.

  • RCMP received a report of a road sign laying in the ditch. Members made a referral to the Department of Highways.

  • Members acted as mediators in a neighbour dispute.

  • Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision in Wilkie. There were no injuries.

  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a concerned citizen.

  • RCMP received a complaint of uttering threats. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

  • Police conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family friend.

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Battlefords Union Hospital for assessment.

  • Police attended a two-vehicle collision near Wilkie. One vehicle driver, a 61-year-old male from Millet, Alberta, was pronounced deceased. The driver of the other vehicle was transported by Emergency Medical Services to hospital for assessment. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a complaint of an individual damaging residential property. This matter is still under investigation.

  • A 67-year-old male from Wilkie was charged with Assault While Choking and Uttering Threats after Members received a complaint of assault.

  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a concerned citizen.

  • Police received a complaint of theft.  This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a complaint of individuals banging on residence windows. This matter is still under investigation.

  • There were also six traffic complaints, five false 911 calls, and one false alarm.

MACKLIN REPORT

  • RCMP received a report of a deceased animal on the highway. A referral was made to Saskatchewan Environment and Resource Management.

  • Members conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family member.

  • Police conducted a wellbeing check at the request of a family friend.

  • Members spoke to an individual regarding a mental health concern.

  • RCMP received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members attended and spoke to the subject of complaint.

  • Police received a complaint of an individual damaging residential property. The subject of complaint had left the premises. The complainant requested no further action be taken.

  • RCMP received a complaint of an unwanted individual at a residence. Members transported the subject of complaint to cells to remain until sober.

  • Members received a report of an abandoned vehicle. The vehicle had been stolen from Provost. This matter is still under investigation.

  • Police received a report of a two-vehicle collision on Highway 14 near Macklin. There were no injuries. This matter is still under investigation.

  • A 21-year-old male from Macklin was charged with Impaired Operation of a Motor Vehicle during a traffic stop.

  • A 22-year-old male from Edmonton was charged with Theft of Truck, two counts of Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Possess Break-In Instruments, Mischief and two counts of Fail to Comply with Release Order Condition after Members received a complaint of a stolen truck.

  • RCMP received a report of an abandoned vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

  • Police received a report of a snowmobile collision near Macklin. There were no injuries.  Reported for insurance purposes.

  • Members received a complaint of an individual damaging a vehicle. This matter is still under investigation.

  • RCMP received a complaint of fraud. This matter is still under investigation.

  • Members spoke to an individual regarding a mental health concern.

  • Police received a Mental Health Act complaint. Members transported the subject of complaint to Provost Hospital for assessment.

  • Members acted as mediators in a family dispute.

  • RCMP received a complaint of a stolen cargo trailer. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • Police received a complaint of an attempted break and enter at an oil site. Insufficient evidence to proceed.

  • There was also three traffic complaints and one false alarm.
