We Will Remember Them

With the closure of the Eatonia Legion branch a few years ago, the Kindersley Legion Branch #57 decided that they needed to remember the veterans that served and lived in Eatonia and area. With help from Belva Martin, they did some history digging and came across the 8 names on this plaque. These names were from Boer War years 1899-1902. Branch #57 decided that the plaque would be the best way to remember them. Thank you Belva for all your hard work.

Kindersley Legion Branch #57 has graciously donated markers with flags for veterans’ graves in Eatonia Cemetery. A large number were installed on Sunday, October 4. If a veteran in your family has not yet received a marker, have patience as we hope to install the remainder before Remembrance Day.
