The Kindersley Stallions got back on track this past week with a couple of wins at home. Last Tuesday they defeated the Macklin Lakers in a tight 5-4 contest. On Thursday, the bats came alive with an 11-1 thumping of the North Battleford Beavers.

Main Street in Kindersley has been getting a facelift this past week. Mobile Paving out of Swift Current has been in town, re-paving the main drag from 7th Avenue all the way down to Railway Avenue. It should make a nice improvement when it is all done.

On the morning of Thursday, July 8th, the Springfield Hutterite Colony brought their produce and baking to their regular spot in front of the Kindersley Co-op Food Store.

It’s safe to say that everyone in the area was praying for rain with the extremely dry conditions. We may have gotten a little more than we bargained for on July 3 in the Town of Kindersley, but we will take it!

A torrential downpour hit the Town of Kindersley on the morning of Saturday, July 3. Reports of up to 70mm fell in less than an hour, turning several streets and parking lots into lakes, including 11th Avenue East.

Residents at Caleb Village in Kindersley had some of the best seats in the house for the Canada Day fireworks celebration.

BIKE PARADE! Eatonia’s Canada Day celebrations kicked off with a bike parade, in which many local kids showcased their decorated bicycles.

The Leader community celebrated Canada Day in grand style! The day kicked off with a parade of floats, decorated scooters and vehicles and a few classic cars and trucks. The kids were busy scooping up candy that had been tossed onto the street.
