Colourful event held in Abbey
4th Annual Abbey Color Run is such a fun event for all ages! This year around 40 people participated in either the 3km or 5km walk/run (plus around 15 volunteers who helped to make it possible).

The North Saskatchewan River Baseball League finals will go to a winner-take all game three after the Kindersley Stallions Baseball came away with a 7-5 win at Berard Field tonight over the Standard Hill Lakers.

Food Mesh volunteers have been busy
Food Mesh volunteers have been very busy! Different groups of volunteers pick up food at Buy Lowe Foods four times a week, sort through all the boxes and refrigerate as needed.
R.I.P. McKenzie School
Kind of a sad day in Kindersley. The old McKenzie School is being demolished. I have some fond childhood memories hiding under the stairwell when my Uncle Neil Maclennan was School Division Secretary and my Mom, Bev Drummond, sat on the school board.
Storybook trail
The Kindersley Wheatland Library has set up a storybook trail leading up to their doors. Children are invited to follow the trail and enjoy reading a great story that is told on each of the signs positioned along the trail.

Redemption Baptist Church Vacation Bible School
A 3-day Vacation Bible School kicked off on July 26 at Redemption Baptist Church in Kindersley. The theme was “Come Sail With Us” and the children gathered together each morning from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m.

The kids are enjoying cooling off at the iKids Day camp at Kindersley which kicked off in the third week of July. Thursday was a hot day and the kids were more than happy to splash in the paddling pools after playing a fun game of Drip, Drip, Dump.

This young buck pretty much sums up what a lot of us have been feeling lately with all the heat and smoke across our part of the province. It has also been difficult remembering to keep our tongues in, now that the masks have come off!
The bell from the McKenzie School has a new home
The bell from the McKenzie School has been removed from its original lofty post above the school, but has found a new home. It is now located in a prominent position in front of the Kindersley and District Plains Museum.
Take me out to the ball game ...
A picture-perfect night for a ball game last Tuesday when the Border City Blue Jays (Lloydminster) came to town to play the Kindersley Stallions. It was a very entertaining game with some great defence and timely offence from both sides.
Trying out free fishing at Mantario Pond
Free Fishing Weekend in Saskatchewan took place on July 10th and 11th. Many anglers took advantage of the opportunity to try their hand at fishing, even though they had not yet acquired a fishing licence.
