The excitement was tangible as the clients and staff at the West Central Abilities Day Program building waited for the ribbon cutting ceremony to begin. Tuesday morning, September 3rd was the big day when friends and family were invited to take part in the grand opening.

MLA Ken Francis spoke on behalf of the province, noting this new facility will serve the area for years to come, and will help build our community. Mayor Rod Perkins added his congratulations and said, “It’s been a challenge, but the challenge is done.”
Executive Director, Tamara Wiebe wielded a pair of scissors for the official ribbon cutting, accompanied by clients Karly Holmes and Brooke Nargang. After a round of applause approximately fifty guests proceeded into the facility at 122 - 1st Avenue West for visiting, cake and refreshments and tours of the new Day Program building. The clients were all excited and happy to invite all the visitors into their new building.
