Fun Fact: Shark Bones

Sharks do not have bones. Their cartilaginous skeletons are lighter than true bone, and their livers contain low-density oils; this helps sharks to be buoyant. But even though they don't have bones, sharks can still fossilize. The dried jaws of a shark appear and feel heavy and solid, much like bone.
