Fun Fact: Sweethearts

In 1847, Oliver Chase built the first American candy-making machine. He, his brother Daniel and a partner formed Chase & Co., later known as New England Confectionery Company. They sold the first candy hearts with messages printed on them. "Sweethearts Conversation Hearts" are still sold today.
