KCS students “Flush Away Cancer”

By Joan Janzen

Early Wednesday morning, May 10th, three bright pink toilets decorated three different yards in the town of Kindersley. This is due to the work of students from Kindersley Composite School (KCS). The school’s SLC began their annual “Flush Away Cancer” fundraiser, which they have been promoting since 2018.

Since that time they have raised over $20,000 for the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency through their cancer fundraiser. This year they added to that total once again.

Residents watched as three pink toilets made their way around the town on a various lawns. Even if you didn’t have a pink toilet displayed on your lawn, you were still invited to make a tax deductible donation to the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency, by contacting the high school.
