Gamesmanship is rare in modern tournament golf. I've never attempted to employ it, for three reasons. First and best, I'd find winning with anything but my score very unsatisfying. Second, a guilty feeling would probably hurt my concentration. Third, by trying to get an "edge" that way, I'd encourage opponents to retaliate in the same manner.
