The Garden Bug: Project FeederWatch

By Brenda Weaver

Project FeederWatch is on ongoing research project of the Cornell Lab of Ornithology and Birds Canada. 4,000 people enrolled when this project began in 1987, and it has grown to 20,000 people in the U.S. and Canada collecting data on the birds visiting their feeders.

The information is used to learn more about the current distribution and abundance of birds that exist in North America.
