Altercation outside Cut Knife School results in arrest warrant

Around 11:15 a.m. Cut Knife RCMP responded to a report of three males involved in an altercation outside the Cut Knife Community School, SK. The school had already enacted its hold and secure protocols as a result of this incident. One of the males, identified as the suspect, had fled on foot prior to police arrival. Officers completed extensive patrols and the male could not be located.

Officers remained at the school as a safety precaution for the remainder of the day. The school lifted their hold and secure protocols at the end of the day.

As a result of investigation, a 17-year-old male from Saskatoon is charged with:

  • 1 count, assault, section 266 of the Criminal Code

  • 1 count, mischief, section 430(4) of the Criminal Code

  • 1 count, uttering threats, section 264.1(a) of the Criminal Code

  • 1 count, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, section 88 of the Criminal Code

  • 1 count, fail to comply with release order, section 145(3) of the Criminal Code

He has not been located and there is a warrant for his arrest. Police cannot identify him as per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
