Caleb residents and guests celebrate together

By Joan Janzen

Caleb Village had a full house on Thursday evening, December 7th, when residents and their guests enjoyed a holiday celebration. Two sittings were scheduled for the evening meal to accommodate all the invited guests.

Throughout the evening, The McConnells, a musical duo from Wiseton, entertained their large audience. Malcolm and Judy McConnell performed everything from Christmas songs to classic rock, country and gospel tunes.

The retired couple now spends their time using their musical talents to entertain at care homes and senior residences. Judy said they are always rewarded by the smiles on the faces of the elderly who listen to their music. Their performance at Caleb was just one of thirteen shows they have scheduled for the month of December, after which the couple will head to a warmer climate for the winter months.
